What's New for the Maverick?

There is one major update for the Maverick, but it is a big one. The previously available 2.0-liter turbocharged I-4 engine is now standard. The previously standard hybrid engine is still available. All-wheel drive remains available, but it is still only an option for gas-engine models.

2024 Ford Maverick Performance

The newly standard 2.0-liter turbo I-4 engine produces an impressive 250 horsepower and 277 pound-feet of torque. An available 2.5-liter I-4 hybrid engine has less power but better fuel efficiency. The hybrid engine produces 191 horsepower and 155 pound-feet of torque, and has a best-in-class EPA-estimated combined fuel economy of 37 miles per gallon (compared to 27 miles per gallon combined for the standard engine).

Exciting Features

The base Maverick model has an impressive standard infotainment setup. A standard eight-inch touchscreen is paired with Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™. Six speakers come standard as well.
